30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 30 Become A Lion - Self-Actualization
Becoming a lion in your life is about self-actualization. It's about being bold and courageous. Committing to having no plan "B," no other options. Whether, you have support or resistance, you're committed to your goals and dreams. You're committed to you! Doing this will make you come alive like never before. It may seem counter-intuitive. It may seem selfish. However, taking care of your needs and desires is like putting the oxygen mask on yourself before assisting those next to you. You'll have more resources, more energy, and more positivity to truly help those who need it most. Don't be distracted by those you can't help either. There will be plenty of people that are set in their ways, those who are not your target market, and those who want to oppose what you're doing. Just keep doing what you do, honing your craft, and bringing more of your light into this world. Find others that are doing the same, I call these people "the red pill takers" (in reference to The Matrix.) They will recognize you for who you are and seek to help you. They will see you as a fellow giver - a fellow lion. Givers love to help one another, in fact there are active groups of them that work together helping one another progress - networking with each other. Become a lion and join the pride.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 29 The Formula For Success
Twenty-nine days of motivation and the 30-day challenge is almost realized. Let's get into this rapid-fire fast. I was reading an e-book by Radu Antoniu just last night and some of the best advice I've heard in a while was in the last two chapters.
1) Keep a goal card in your pocket. Read your goal card as much as you can especially in the mornings when you wake up and in the evening before you go to sleep. Write it in the present tense as a statement made upon achieving this goal. Be specific about the date, how you feel, what exactly you've accomplished, and what you had to sacrifice to get it. There is no glory without sacrifice.
2) The sublime moment by Andrei Antoniu. This is the moment of awareness, that moment you realize that you should read your goal card. So before you forget and the moment passes, immediately go read it.
Writing your goals down on a daily basis is one of the topics of the video below. This may seem like a waste of time. On the contrary, it will help you rewire your brain for action, and will grant you the ability to see opportunities that are right in front of you. There's a story that I love about the first Native Americans to witness ships for the first time. It is said that they couldn't even see them on the horizon yet they saw disturbances in the water. It was the shaman of the tribe that observed the ripples and who eventually saw the ships and pointed them out to the rest of the tribe. Our brains have a funny way of filtering out the unusual. Thinking positively and seeing possibilities and opportunities are like those ships on the horizon. They are there, we just have to have eyes to see them and sometimes we need someone to point them out.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 28 Never Pity Yourself
Never pity yourself. Events have played out in your past and they cannot be changed. What can change is how we look at those events - our response to those events. Event + Response = Outcome or E + R = O. One of my favorite examples of this was a story of two merchants going into a foreign land to find trade deals. One merchant returns saying, "The people there are poor there is no opportunity for trade, they don't even have shoes." The second merchant returns saying, "There is an abundant opportunity, these people all need shoes." The event was the same but the responses were very different. The same is true for us. We can choose to look at the pains of the past as a reason why our lives are the way they are or we can choose to grow from those experiences. The only reason we can fully appreciate the good in life is because we have experienced the bad.
I used to be so obsessed with wanting to know the future. I realize now it was because I fixed mindset, a mindset of fate. I was afraid my future would look like more of my past. Now, I don't care to know the future because I create my future inside the realms of everything that I can control. Outside of what I can't control, well, that would affect me regardless - it's not worth the time worrying about. I know this, focusing on self-pity only creates more of the same while focusing on what you want out of life creates more of that. You'll create what you focus on - what you believe in and if you believe it then you will surely act on it. True belief - true faith produces action.
Life has so much to offer. Heaven and Hell do exist and they exist right here and now. Whether you believe they exist elsewhere, I'll leave that to you. As long as you understand that this life can be as amazing as you want or as terrible as you want. The decision is yours.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 27 Take Action
Take Action. Two words that either inspire us or overwhelm us. In my life, I sometimes didn't know what actions to take. At other times, I knew what actions to take but I was overwhelmed by all that I needed to do.
Taking action doesn't mean knowing every step of your journey and doesn't mean doing everything all at once. It's like driving a car at night, you can only see what is directly in front of you. However, you can travel great distances without ever seeing the entire road. Staying with the driving analogy, it's also important that we don't spend time gazing into the rearview mirror. How are we supposed to move forward in life if we keep thinking about the past? You can't.
Practicals For Taking Action
Do what you can do today. If the amount is so much that you won't do it on a consistent basis, then it's too much for you at this time. Similar to someone that goes from no activity to going into a gym expecting to lift massive weight. That's not going to work, he or she needs to build muscle. In the same way, the amount of action you take daily builds like a muscle. Do what you can, then challenge yourself to do a little more, then a little more until you gain the moment to start taking massive action. Turn it into a game of beating personal records. Taking action can also get tiring, so it is important to remember why you're doing it. That "why" is going to drive you when your motivation is waning. Check out the video below, one of the speakers talks about the tides of motivation that we experience in life.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 26 Trying is Succeeding
Watch the video first then check out the commentary below.
Throughout the 30-Day Motivational Challenge, there have been various fitness and success challenges along the way. Some of you might have enjoyed the message but were hesitant because you have an injury, disease, or disability of some kind. I thought the same things about myself. I had wrecked one of my knees and one of my shoulders during a brief stint playing high school football. It was my belief that I was now damaged goods, beyond repair. It wasn't the case, I rehabilitated those old injuries in my 30's and now I'm the strongest version of myself. Aimee Espinoza, in the story above, has rheumatoid arthritis and found a way to become an athlete. Such an amazing story! It furthers my faith in that "if there is a Will there is a Way." Don't give up! Trying is succeeding!

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 25 Stay Focused
When we are young we think about how different we are. We see it as either a positive - we're "special" or a negative "we're...special." When we get older we begin to see how similar we truly are. I used to complain about not having time. Now I hear the same song sang by other people "I don't have time for" fill in the blank. The difference between now and then is that I have a greater control over the time that I do have. Making priorities and laser focusing on certain projects, hobbies, and time with people that I care about. Every person on the planet has the same twenty-four hours and how we spend that currency on a day to day basis determines our entire life. It came to a point that I realized this and thought "if I truly believe that I can accomplish anything in life then I should start with my health, because what good is it to achieve something great only to die early because I mismanaged my health." So my fitness journey began, and certainly not out of an ambition to go into the fitness industry. I only decided that later when I was so happy with the benefits that I wanted to share it with others, and I'm so glad that I did. Having victories in fitness has opened my eyes to the potential of victories in whatever else I want to pursue in life. What do you want out of life? Deep down, what do you really want out of life? Initially, you might name stuff or things but when you get down to you core it comes down to one thing - love. What do you love? Now share what you love with the world, and don't be afraid to receive love back. In this current era, the love received back is in the form of currency. When someone loves to sing, and they spend time crafting that talent then shares it with the world - they are rewarded in kind. The thought, "what if I put in all that time and it doesn't pay off?" comes to mind. If you're thinking that thought, then you don't truly love it, you need to find something that you don't mind doing for free for as long as it takes because you love doing it anyway. You will reap what you sow. Stay Focused!

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 24 Live Without Limits
Watch the video first then check out the commentary below.
You've decided to embrace life now live without limits. This is a concept that I and many others have struggled with. It's because it would require our own expansion. The expansion of ideas and out beliefs. Here's an example, a salesman asked a Facebook group the other day if he should get in shape for his sales career. That was a limiting belief, he can have both and there is a myriad of studies that have shown fitness benefits people's careers in a powerful way including increasing their income. We put limits on ourselves with words like "either" and "or" when we should be using words like "both, all, and."
Another situation that occurs is that people pray and prayed (again myself included) for strength not realizing the strength that has already been given us. We have incredible power and potential within us. It would be like having countless riches yet pleading with one wealthier than ourselves for more money. When you think about it that way, it's ridiculous. We've been given so much already, we simply need to push what we have to its limits.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 23 Embrace Life
Watch the video first then check out the commentary below.
Making incentives for your goals is not only a good idea but possibly a requirement. The results of your daily routine may not be fully appreciated for months or years so making rewards for your efforts will help you develop daily routines. I've used incentives such as vacations, concerts, festivals, and even special foods as rewards for my efforts.
Embracing life is also about having the courage to act. If you think too much about it then you may end up talking yourself out of taking action. Like in the movie The Last Samurai, don't have "too many mind," practice the "no mind" strategy that was advised to Tom Cruise's character Nathan Algren. Stop thinking and just start doing. Once doing becomes automatic it becomes a habit is no longer a drain on your willpower - no longer requiring thought at all in some cases.
Thinking about the future should be like swimming. Swimmers keep their heads down for the majority of their laps only bringing their heads up for air when they need to. In the same way, keep your head down on the present and only think about the future when you need to figure out your next steps. The truth is there are plenty of things that you already know that you need to do or check off on that to do list.
Lastly, focus on being you - being the best version of yourself. Think of life as a wild ride, something to be embraced.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 22 Destroy Doubt
Self-doubt affects every person that goes after their dreams. I naively thought I would be immune to this. That my vision and focus would power through it like a light in the darkness, but I've had it hit me hard. It was like getting the air knocked out of me. In the same way, in time, I recuperated and came back with a stronger vision than I had before.
"If you're not having doubt, then you're not pushing the boundaries far enough." -Peter Diamandes
Use doubt as an indicator that you're pushing hard enough. Recognize it as a natural gatekeeper to bigger and better things. Meet it, greet it, then destroy it! Destroy doubt and press on!

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 21 Psychology Of The Great
On the 17th day of the Motivation Challenge, we discussed the great Muhammad Ali. We also discussed how some of his predecessors emulated his psychology of "I Am The Greatest." In the following video, there are numerous quotes from great men and women all types of industries. I grew up loving and idolizing Michael Jordan but he too was once a beginner - he too had the learn the game. The same greatness is in you. The same potential is in you. Understanding this allows you to understand the statement, "I Am The Greatest." Everyone starts somewhere. No one was born great. It was earned through their daily routine. If you have to listen to a soundtrack of Les Brown saying, "There is greatness in you" in order for you to start believing it. Then do it! We are all spirits housed in biological machines with our own innate talents accompanied with an endless potential to develop new skills. It's time that the world knows what your gift is.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 20 You Owe You
We're two-thirds the way through the 30-Day Motivation Challenge. At this point, you may have noticed you're already thinking positively where normally you may have thought negatively. Your dreams may have even shifted from impossible to possible. Perhaps, you've even started to make changes to your daily routine. We've discussed all kinds of reasons to become successful. Here's another - You Owe You. You owe that kid that you were growing up that had the big dreams that had an "outlandish" vision for his or her future. Take that inner child by the hand and go - get to work making your dreams a reality. What's stopping you? We can come up with all kinds of excuses, believe me I know. I spent much of my life putting off plans for a better time, situation, the list goes on. It wasn't until someone challenged me to my core and said if you don't start today then you never will. All we have is today, the present moment. The future exists in our imagination and the past is history. Use the present moment to build your future like bricks in a glorious temple. Each day adds up, you'll be surprised what can be accomplished in weeks, months, and years. You Owe You! Get it done!

Watch the video first.
Having a purpose that keeps us focused on the present moment so that we can build the future that we desire. Letting go of the victim mentality, and begin the day to day "doing." Freeing ourselves from average and rising to our full potential. Create within you the "I'm just getting started" mentality. No matter how many successes you have along the way, don't settle, keep going - greatness is in you!

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 18 Focus On Your Journey
I was discussing with some friends the other day what does self-actualization means to us. One definition was "to do what you do regardless of opposition or support." I like that definition but here are few others:
Google - the realization or fulfillment of one's talents and potentialities, especially considered as a drive or need present in everyone.
Dictionary.com - the achievement of one's full potential through creativity, independence, spontaneity, and a grasp of the real world.
The video below, "Focus On Your Journey" is narrated by Tyrese Gibson - who does bring home some powerful points. The cinematography is equally powerful showing how zookeeper Kevin Richardson has befriended lions. No doubt people have called him crazy or worse. Yet, he's making a difference worldwide by stepping into his own self-actualization in his local area. Check out this video, and allow it to motivate you to step into your power and become self-actualized.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 17 I am the Greatest
Love him or hate him, Muhammad Ali has made one of the greatest impacts on the entire sports industry. In light of his passing, there are many lessons that could be learned from the way he lived his life. He believed in himself before he was the greatest. You see, you have to see it, believe it, in order to be it. You see the same faith exhibited in the modern day champions like Rhonda Rousey and Conor McGregor. Listen to the way they talk, they have conviction, they believe in themselves. Though we may falter in our faith, we have to remember our Why, remember our personal legend and destiny. Muhammad Ali retired with 56 wins - 37 of which were knockouts - and 5 losses. To accomplish great things in life the most important person to believe in you - is you! If you don't believe in yourself now, or you're lacking in faith don't worry. It takes time to rewire negative thinking. Commit to believing in yourself daily. Say "I am the Greatest" like Muhammad Ali, give it a shot, see how it feels. It might feel like putting on a coat that's three sizes too big. As your faith grows, as you commit to taking daily action, you will grow into your faith. Success upon success will strengthen your resolve.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 15 Leave The World Better Than You Found It
Imagine for a moment, if everyone had a goal to leave this world better than they found it. What kind of life could your children live? What kind of life could your grandchildren live? What could the human race be capable of? It all starts with you. Changing ourselves plants a seed of possibilities in others, giving them a mustard seed a faith so that they too can change. I believe this is what Ghandi was hinting at when he said, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
The process of change begins when we no longer accept average as acceptable. When we no longer accept mediocrity in our lives. Pushing the limits of even our biggest dreams for our lives. Press on, advance, keep going no matter what and you will yourself transformed and countless others as well. Make a commitment a be a positive agent of change in this world.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 14 Push Through It
Of all the goals and challenges that you pursue in life. Going after your dream will be your toughest challenge yet. I once heard a preacher talk about life and how God refines us. Comparing us to a piece of metal being worked on by a blacksmith. The iron being placed in a forge, where the heat is unbearable. Only to be pulled out of the heat and beaten severely. The beating stops and if the iron could take in a deep breath of relief this would be the time. But it would be interrupted by being shoved into the forge yet again. This process can go on for hours. In life, we can feel the same way, just when we get out of the fire we get beaten by the world.
You will experience incredible pressures when pursuing your dream. People will oppose what you do, mostly for who they are not who you are. Winners focus on their goals, and losers focus on winners. So don't listen to the naysayers, instead "Push Through It" and prove them wrong. Make a commitment today to push through no matter what. The world needs more people like you, people who will make their dreams a reality.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 13 Transforming Fear
The first time I really began to learn the concept was when I read "Success Principles" by Jack Canfield. The principle of "Feel the fear and do it anyway," started to change me fundamentally. It's not the search of finding endeavors that fear doesn't exist, but the exact opposite. Finding what you're afraid of, finding something that will strengthen you by merely pursuing it. There may even be times that utilizing this principle will save you life or the life of another. Fear paralyzes into inaction. While courage is to observe the feeling of fear and to take action regardless of its presence. Make a commitment today to step into your fears, don't let them hold you back, and become courageous. You are a mighty warrior!

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 12 Progress = Happiness
Have you ever been told, "Practice makes perfect"? Yet, you're told no one is perfect. So does no one practice? It's an enigma - it doesn't make sense. It's better to say, "Practice make progress," because it most certainly does. Progress produces happiness as you begin to see a path reveal itself before you. You're no longer the person you were last year. Hell, you're not even the same person you were yesterday.
Honing your craft may require learning multiple disciplines. Read every day. I recommend reading books during specified times and listening to audio books while you're in the car or waiting in line at the store. Pack in your learning time. Set time aside to take action as well, implementing what you are learning. Getting feedback and critiques from trusted sources. Skill beats talent every day of the week because talent can only take someone so far. Skills grow into a force to be reckoned with.
When taking up this challenge - making the decision to make daily progress. You may feel overwhelmed, it will pass. While at the same time understand it is better to make some progress rather than none at all. As long as you continue to challenge yourself continually.

30-Day Motivation Challenge - Day 11 MAKE AN IMPACT
Having a dream that is bigger than yourself, a dream that impacts the lives of your family, community, and the world. Tap into that drive to make the world a better place with your product, service, and/or message. When times get tough you can lean on the understanding that what you do does make a difference in this world. But if you quit, countless lives will be affected by that decision.
There is a shift happening in society today, startups are moving away from ROI return on investment mindset and changing to an ROI ripple of impact. An example of this is LifeStraw, helping those around the world have access to clean water.
