When we are young we think about how different we are. We see it as either a positive - we're "special" or a negative "we're...special." When we get older we begin to see how similar we truly are. I used to complain about not having time. Now I hear the same song sang by other people "I don't have time for" fill in the blank. The difference between now and then is that I have a greater control over the time that I do have. Making priorities and laser focusing on certain projects, hobbies, and time with people that I care about. Every person on the planet has the same twenty-four hours and how we spend that currency on a day to day basis determines our entire life. It came to a point that I realized this and thought "if I truly believe that I can accomplish anything in life then I should start with my health, because what good is it to achieve something great only to die early because I mismanaged my health." So my fitness journey began, and certainly not out of an ambition to go into the fitness industry. I only decided that later when I was so happy with the benefits that I wanted to share it with others, and I'm so glad that I did. Having victories in fitness has opened my eyes to the potential of victories in whatever else I want to pursue in life. What do you want out of life? Deep down, what do you really want out of life? Initially, you might name stuff or things but when you get down to you core it comes down to one thing - love. What do you love? Now share what you love with the world, and don't be afraid to receive love back. In this current era, the love received back is in the form of currency. When someone loves to sing, and they spend time crafting that talent then shares it with the world - they are rewarded in kind. The thought, "what if I put in all that time and it doesn't pay off?" comes to mind. If you're thinking that thought, then you don't truly love it, you need to find something that you don't mind doing for free for as long as it takes because you love doing it anyway. You will reap what you sow. Stay Focused!

You've decided to embrace life now live without limits. This is a concept that I and many others have struggled with. It's because it would require our own expansion. The expansion of ideas and out beliefs. Here's an example, a salesman asked a Facebook group the other day if he should get in shape for his sales career. That was a limiting belief, he can have both and there is a myriad of studies that have shown fitness benefits people's careers in a powerful way including increasing their income. We put limits on ourselves with words like "either" and "or" when we should be using words like "both, all, and." Another situation that occurs is that people pray and prayed (again myself included) for strength not realizing the strength that has already been given us. We have incredible power and potential within us. It would be like having countless riches yet pleading with one wealthier than ourselves for more money. When you think about it that way, it's ridiculous. We've been given so much already, we simply need to push what we have to its limits.

Making incentives for your goals is not only a good idea but possibly a requirement. The results of your daily routine may not be fully appreciated for months or years so making rewards for your efforts will help you develop daily routines. I've used incentives such as vacations, concerts, festivals, and even special foods as rewards for my efforts.
Embracing life is also about having the courage to act. If you think too much about it then you may end up talking yourself out of taking action. Like in the movie The Last Samurai, don't have "too many mind," practice the "no mind" strategy that was advised to Tom Cruise's character Nathan Algren. Stop thinking and just start doing. Once doing becomes automatic it becomes a habit is no longer a drain on your willpower - no longer requiring thought at all in some cases.
Thinking about the future should be like swimming. Swimmers keep their heads down for the majority of their laps only bringing their heads up for air when they need to. In the same way, keep your head down on the present and only think about the future when you need to figure out your next steps. The truth is there are plenty of things that you already know that you need to do or check off on that to do list.
Lastly, focus on being you - being the best version of yourself. Think of life as a wild ride, something to be embraced.

This salad is on point! I made it for a family dinner and everyone loved it, well except for my little niece who doesn't like the smell of cilantro. If there was anything to add, I would say some kind of cheese like parmesan. I haven't tried adding anything extra, the current recipe is fantastic on it's on. Check it out, the walkthrough video is below. Enjoy!
Self-doubt affects every person that goes after their dreams. I naively thought I would be immune to this. That my vision and focus would power through it like a light in the darkness, but I've had it hit me hard. It was like getting the air knocked out of me. In the same way, in time, I recuperated and came back with a stronger vision than I had before.
"If you're not having doubt, then you're not pushing the boundaries far enough." -Peter Diamandes
Use doubt as an indicator that you're pushing hard enough. Recognize it as a natural gatekeeper to bigger and better things. Meet it, greet it, then destroy it! Destroy doubt and press on!

On the 17th day of the Motivation Challenge, we discussed the great Muhammad Ali. We also discussed how some of his predecessors emulated his psychology of "I Am The Greatest." In the following video, there are numerous quotes from great men and women all types of industries. I grew up loving and idolizing Michael Jordan but he too was once a beginner - he too had the learn the game. The same greatness is in you. The same potential is in you. Understanding this allows you to understand the statement, "I Am The Greatest." Everyone starts somewhere. No one was born great. It was earned through their daily routine. If you have to listen to a soundtrack of Les Brown saying, "There is greatness in you" in order for you to start believing it. Then do it! We are all spirits housed in biological machines with our own innate talents accompanied with an endless potential to develop new skills. It's time that the world knows what your gift is. We're two-thirds the way through the 30-Day Motivation Challenge. At this point, you may have noticed you're already thinking positively where normally you may have thought negatively. Your dreams may have even shifted from impossible to possible. Perhaps, you've even started to make changes to your daily routine. We've discussed all kinds of reasons to become successful. Here's another - You Owe You. You owe that kid that you were growing up that had the big dreams that had an "outlandish" vision for his or her future. Take that inner child by the hand and go - get to work making your dreams a reality. What's stopping you? We can come up with all kinds of excuses, believe me I know. I spent much of my life putting off plans for a better time, situation, the list goes on. It wasn't until someone challenged me to my core and said if you don't start today then you never will. All we have is today, the present moment. The future exists in our imagination and the past is history. Use the present moment to build your future like bricks in a glorious temple. Each day adds up, you'll be surprised what can be accomplished in weeks, months, and years. You Owe You! Get it done!
